Registration with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency as a producer of electronic equipment and/or batteries

Last updated: 2017-06-14

If you are a producer of electronic equipment and/or batteries, you are responsible for the collection and disposal of worn-out products (producer responsibility).

As a producer, you are therefore required to register with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and provide your sales and waste collection figures.

A producer is defined as a physical or legal person who imports or manufactures electronic equipment and/or batteries in Sweden and then sells the products in Sweden or another EU Member State.
