If you want to apply for reorientation support and have previously received, or applied for, short-time work allowance, you need to report how much support you have received from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth. This is how the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth calculate the support for short-time work allowance

The amount of support is calculated based on the information you have submitted to the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth each month. The calculations are based on decisions from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and are a combination of provisionally paid support, reconciliations, and any revoked support.

The calculation is made as follows:

  • Ordinary monthly salary (max SEK 44 000 per month) x part of the month x agreed level x attendance quota x 98,6%
  • Part of the month = days with short-time work allowance /days in the month
  • Attendance quota = days with short-time work allowance – days absent / days with short-time work allowance

If you have received a changed decision on your support for short time-work allowance and have applied for reorientation support

If you have previously applied for reorientation support and receive a decision that entails a change of previously granted support for short-time work allowance for the corresponding time period, you must notify the change to the Swedish Tax Agency. Calculate how much support is to be deducted from the reorientation support for each month according to the new decision, and how much the amount differs from the amount you have previously deducted from the reorientation support. You state this information in your application which is submitted to the Swedish Tax Agency in one of the following ways:

If you receive support for short-time work allowance that is lower than what you have calculated in your application for reorientation support, you can in some cases receive a higher reorientation support. The Swedish Tax Agency can not grant additional support after 30 June 2022.
