Support and advice in your region

There are several regional organisations that offer support and advice to businesses, both in their regular operations and as a result of the coronavirus. In several regions there are specific business emergency centers available.

Municipal support 

Due to the coronavirus, many municipalities have developed their own measures to support entrepreneurs. Please visit your municipality’s website to see what support you can receive locally.

Extended time for financial support when you start up a new business

The support for starting a business has been extended from 6 months to 12 months to make it easier for you who are starting a new business. The extension is temporary and applies until 31 December 2021.

Information if you intend to sell or wind up your business

The Swedish Environmental Crime Agency has produced an information sheet with information on how to avoid being scammed when selling your business. Among other things, there is a list of ways to detect early warning signs that you should check before selling your business.

Planning aid for staffing shortages and the supply of goods and services

The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap, MSB) have developed an aid for government agencies and companies to help them identify which activities must be maintained and which are of a lower priority.

Loans

The Swedish National Debt Office’s guarantee programme

Small and medium-sized businesses that are viable but suffer financial difficulties, are given the opportunity of a state loan guarantee. A loan guarantee means that the state guarantees 70 % of the loan amount. Companies can apply for loans until September 30, 2021 by contacting their lender/bank.

If you need financing, you can apply for a loan from Almi. If you already have a loan, it is possible to seek payment respite with repayments.

Almi’s bridge loan – a loan adapted to current corona pandemic

Sustainable small and medium-sized companies in Sweden that are in need of financing can apply for Almi’s bridge loan.  The loan provides an opportunity for conditions that are specially adapted to the current situation. The loan is always combined with advice, so that you can discuss and simulate the effects the corona pandemic has on your cash flow, income statement and balance sheet.
