The review is free-of-charge and is initiated by a report from a consumer. The Board’s decisions are not binding to the parties, but rather formulated as a recommendation on how the dispute should be resolved.
The Board’s decisions cannot be appealed, although under certain circumstances they can be reviewed again by the Board. A request for reconsideration must be made in writing and must have been received by the Board within two months of the dispute being decided on.
ARN only reviews disputes between consumers and business operators that are established in Sweden.
